Over drinks and dinner

I met the Worldwide CEO Daniel Morel from Wundeman at a party in Gurgaon. We spoke briefly, and it was a great meeting! He shared his insights on what it takes to actively move from strength to strength in direct marketing, and digital marketing area.

It was great to see his learnings on Asia, and how he envisions Asia to be a big part of the advertising pie in times to come. The fluidity in advertising agencies can be something that can be compared to getting blinfolded. You have got to work around new acquisitions, tie-ups, attrition, mobility, and changes.

For all the global accounts that Wunderman handles, there is a unique global relationship they need to handle. If the account team in US does not deliver goods, it will impact the account relationship of Wunderman with Microsoft in India. That's the level of fluidity that we talk of........

Life was good as I sipped my pina colada, and soaked into the conversations....
