I like Oprah Winfrey and she is a God.

I have been off from the spotlight of the Online...Blogworld. It was a writer's block or the inertia of the pen, whatever you call. As a responsible netizen I wanted to talk about something deeper in its form and content , and something that sets a thousand mind to think about whether my piece of creation is good, okay or bad. So like a tensed blogger, I set out to write another piece that comes straight from my heart.. Ok Now Do You LIKE her ? I am sure you have to like her or hate her but you cant stay on neutral grounds.

She has been the Queen of Opinions and the Leader of the opinionated pack. She has been one person who challenges the smug Amercians and tells them to have a look at all the wrongs that they have set out to do as a result of belonging to the so-called exposed modern world. She tells the insular society of the rich and famous to look beyond their excesses.

She truly is one opinion leader. She is Oprah Winfrey. And she continues to shape and lead people, their opinions and their beliefs towards all that is positive and bright.

Call me a gullible audience, or an overawed consumer of a cleverly crafted TV Show. I have nothing personal in terms of my fascination for her. But I always admire opinion leaders who can interview and reach out to celebrities and question them to break their charisma.

I keep meeting a bunch of anti bloggers ( the breed that does not blog ) and they find the act of putting an account of your personal life all over on a blog site, an act of vain,a gesture of false pride, a job of the unemployed. I try to convince them otherwise, but people like to live with their opinions and their beliefs....so we dont bother to change them and we say Each To His Own....We leave it at that....dont we....

But I like Oprah Winfrey and so many of such articulate awe inspiring presenters who dont leave things as they are. She has been behind all the stories, that give perspective to millions. She makes people listen to her. She shakes the odds and gives solutions to the most twisted real life story. I dont know if she deserves the credit in entirety. But her conviction and style are too original to be called commercial and are done for the popularity of a show.

It is a TV Show and is one of the many talk shows....but it does leave an indelible mark behind.

She has spoken to desperate housewives who are full of low self esteem because their husbands dont compliment them, She has spoken to people from the rehabilitation centres who have got into the habits that nearly killed them, she has spoken to people who have spent all their money on gambling, she has talked to celebs who live on the words of their stylists and have nothing as their original in terms of style...she has spoken to people who live on Botox to improve their self image...and she has questioned all of them...not played their moral guardian, simply questioned them. If we have people like Oprah in the off reel real world who could question all that is not and should not happen, there would not be any reason to watch talk shows like The Oprah Winfrey Shows...We will have a perfect world with a perfect society....

I like her , lets make way for more Oprahs....!!
