Huge expectations from the launch of Amazon store for Indian market. Flipkart and other should worry. Although FlipKart, and the new e-commerce players such as Myntra have had express shipping as their hallmark of service- the real advantage for Amazon would be the warehousing and fulfillment services that they start-and bring S.C.A.L.E in ecommerce operations.
A combination of local logistics, and fulfillment would work for the company. Sure. Amazon would have to learn the Indian way of doing business-if they are willing to learn the future is bright. American fast food chain KFC had to launch its first vegetarian chain ever, that too in India (Gujarat). McDonalds embraced Indian way of doing things by selling McTikkis.
Surely, the company has a 15 year business plan for India and it’s too early to judge how Flipkart/Snapdeal/Infibeam will fare after this launch. If you are thinking that they all will die, go fish!
